Rosso Santiago – Ukrainian red granite
Kapustyanske, Ukraine

Rosso Santiago from the Kapustyanske deposit is one of Europe's best-known red granites: a coarse-grained, porphyritic stone where large feldspar crystals sit in a red groundmass together with grey and black minerals. Polished, that structure gives the surface a visible movement rather than a flat colour.
Architects specify it for facades, plinths and public space, where the pattern reads well at scale. Bought direct at the Kapustyanske quarry, it ships as blocks, slabs and cut blanks with documented origin. One practical note: flaming lightens the red and mutes the contrast, so specify the finish per element if polished and flamed parts meet in the same facade.
